LDA participates in Case Notes

Lyme Disease Action trustee Stella Huyshe-Shires recently participated in an edition of BBC Radio 4’s Case Notes with Dr. Mark Porter. The programme was about insects and other arthropods in medicine and a section of the programme was devoted to tick-borne Lyme disease.

We are grateful to Case Notes for some very interesting coverage of the topic, also to Stella, who gave the patient’s angle on catching Lyme disease in the UK at the present time. Stella’s experience reflects a situation that many patients have come across i.e. that many GPs do not know enough about this illness to give their patients timely help. A situation that Lyme Disease Action is striving to remedy.
