Conference

The 9th UK Lyme and Tick Borne Diseases Conference

on Friday 3rd September 2010.

Wills Hall, University of Bristol, UK

Lyme disease is endemic in the UK, recognised cases are increasing and yet there are large uncertainties in both diagnosis and treatment. These uncertainties are not acknowledged within most of the NHS. Patients and carers have the opportunity this year to have their views noted.

This conference is the stepping stone for the UK’s search for scientifically based treatment of Lyme disease: we will be making a start on defining the research agenda. Workshops will gather information from delegates on the priorities for patients and carers and the resources that are required. Presentations will explore what patients can do to move things forward themselves.

Within easy reach of the M5, Wills Hall is on the outskirts of Bristol at Stoke Bishop with plenty of parking on site. Built of stone around an 18th Century house, the original Hall of Residence and quadrangle echo the traditions of academia. Adjacent accommodation and a conference centre were added in 1990.
