New Forest Study

Do you spend time outdoors in the New Forest? Working or walking?

The UK Health Security Agency has started a study to look at possible exposure to Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis (TBE). If you have had tick bites, or been exposed to ticks, because of your activities in the New Forest, then what your blood shows will be of interest and will help advance research into these diseases.

We know ticks in that area carry Lyme disease and there is evidence that some now carry TBE. See our previous news on TBE.

If you would like to take part, visit Brockenhurst Village Hall on June 12th or 13th. See details on the poster on the left.
